According to the specialist, the seeds of sunflower in a fried form become the source of carcinogens, so it is better to use this product with raw. The doctor also warned that seeds are very calories.
“One hundred grams is 550 calories, which is equal to chocolate tiles. The problem is that they are not perceived as a full food, and contribute to the extra weight,” explained Bocharov.
She dispelled the myth that appendicitis arises from the use of seeds. However, a person with ulcer and gastritis, a regular eating of this product may provoke the exacerbation of the disease, the doctor clarified.
Bocharova recommended that there are sunflower seeds with raw and in small quantities (30 grams per day). They have a lot of fiber and vitamins of the group B, A and E, as well as magnesium, which is needed for the functioning of the heart and nervous system, reminded the specialist.
