Azerbaijan is an important partner and ally of Russia in the South Caucasus and in the Caspian region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on the eve of the visit to the Baku head of the department Sergei Lavrov.
On June 23-24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will be in Azerbaijan. During the visit, it is planned to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as exchange views on the most relevant aspects of the regional and international agenda, including the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
