Moscow called on Kyiv to recognize “existing territorial realities”

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko in an interview with Interfax said that Russia will insist that Ukraine recognize the status of Crimea and self -proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR”.

The Russian approach remains the same – the future agreement should record the neutral, non -block and nuclear status of Ukraine, the recognition of the existing territorial realities, including the current status of Crimea, as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.

Rudenko said that Russia is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine. “If Ukraine expresses a desire to return to the negotiating table, we are ready to react positively,” said the deputy minister.

The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation noted that Russia will insist that Ukraine gives a clear response to the proposals of the Russian side, and will measure everything with the situation “on Earth”, which is constantly changing.
