The Russian Foreign Ministry is considered to be freezing negotiation processes to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan under the pretext of a stressful situation in the region counterproductive and call on the parties to the speedy resumption of joint work for each of the normalization of bilateral relations. This was stated by the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova at a briefing on Wednesday.
“Passing the tripartite agreements of the leaders of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Russian side consistently contributes to the normalization of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. The Russian Ministry of Defense and the Russian peacekeeping contingent in close cooperation with the Foreign Ministry make vigorous efforts to resolve the situation around the Lachinsky road … Whatever The situation in the region was intense, we consider the freezing under this pretext of negotiation processes counter -productive, ”said Zakharova.
Zakharova noted that Russia is ready to provide all the necessary support in the organization of the next meetings of the tripartite working group to unlock economic and transport ties in the region, as well as new rounds of negotiations on the preparation of a peace treaty at the level of the heads of foreign policy departments.
Recall that in December 2022 it was the Armenian side that tore the next round of a tripartite meeting in Moscow.
