Most common and unusual symptoms of “Oomikron”

The new strain of Coronavirus “Oomikron” extends to the world much faster than previous options, although not many cases of hospitalization is registered, the British edition of Mirror writes.

In the meantime, the Centers for the Control and Prevention of Diseases (CDC) take part in agreed efforts to understand the Oomikron version, and in their weekly incidence and mortality report, CDC experts presented a preliminary profile of Omicron symptoms.

According to MK, the report indicates that cough is the most common symptom that suffer 89% of infected. In addition, fatigue (65%) and nasal congestion or a runny nose (59%) are recorded as the most common symptoms of Omikron. Dyspnea (16%), diarrhea (11%) and loss of taste or smell (8%) are already at the end of the CDC list.

At the same time, the Mirror warns, the Oomikron strain has one feature that distinguishes it from other variations of coronavirus, – its carriers also suffer from night sweating, at which nightwear and bed linen are wedged through.

The new strain of Coronavirus B.1.1.529, which contains 32 mutations in the S-protein, was first revealed to South Africa and Botswana in early November. At an emergency meeting on November 26, the World Health Organization recognized B.1.1.529 “Causes of concern” and assigned to him “Omicron” – on the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet. “Omicron” has a large number of mutations, it also extends faster than Delta. The new coronavirus strain, which has increased mobility, is detected in more than 55 countries.
