Most Of Greenlanders Against Joining United States

According to the results of a public opinion poll, 85 percent of the inhabitants of Greenland do not want their island to become part of the United States.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said Greenland should become part of the United States. He emphasized its strategic significance for national security and “protection from China and Russia.” According to the American leader, almost all residents of Greenland want to be part of the United States.

A survey of the Verian sociological agency, conducted by the Danish newspaper Berlingske, showed that only 6% of the Greenlanders advocate joining the United States, and 9% have not yet been determined.

Greenland is the autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. This is the largest of the two autonomous territories in the kingdom, the other are Faroe Islands
