On Saturday, June 29, the 111st cycling of Tour de France is starting – the most famous and prestigious bicycle race of the world.
The cycling race starts in Italy on Saturday, June 29, and ends three weeks later in France on Sunday, July 21. For the first time, the tour starts in Italy and first finishes in Nice in order to avoid preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which will begin in only a week. The competitions will take part in 176 athletes from 22 teams
History of “Tour de France” has been conducted since 1903. The Tour de France route of this year covers 3498 km. In general, the racing schedule is 21 stage, including mountain and plain routes, as well as two individual races with a separate start. Cycles will pass through four countries – Italy, San Marino, France and Monaco.
The total prize fund “Tour de France” will amount to 2.3 billion euros. The winner of the general standings will receive 500 thousand euros.
The owner of the yellow T -shirt, which symbolizes the leader of the Tour de France, can be a Slovenian Tadei Pogachar or Danes, Jonas Winghegor. Over the past four years, both of these bicycles have always become the winner of the Tour de France.
