Milli Milli Majlis Nagif Gamzaev at a meeting of parliament drew attention to public transport problems in the capital, and indicating possible solutions:
“A few days ago, the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov came to work, paying attention to public transport problems and offering an alternative to Baku traffic jams. I hope that other ministers, officials, and government agencies will join the action. But let’s say directly, during the peak hours you can’t use the metro or public transport. I personally tried it. But if it used to be difficult at 8-9 hours (morning), now it became very difficult to find a place in the subway even at 10 hours. I had to skip 3- 4 wagons. I think that this issue should be taken seriously. It should be borne in mind that the population of Baku has increased. The work of the metro or public transport in the same mode cannot solve this problem, ”complained Gamzaev.
The deputy said that during the autumn holidays he managed to get from Ahmedla in the city center in 15 minutes: “Traffic jams are directly related to the school and schoolchildren. Because a car leaves from each house to take these children to school. I suggest that you offer it to ensure that Public transport was free for schoolchildren and teachers at least twice a day. The number of buses in public transport should be increased. “
