The situation around the long-term judicial opposition of two businessmen of the Azerbaijani origin of Mibariza Mansimov and Vagita Alekperova changed dramatically. Munchimov’s mubariz abandoned the claim for Vagita Alekperov in the amount of two billion dollars and now requires only $ 151 million.
Recall that the court opposition between the Palmali Group of Companies and the subsidiary of LUKOILA “Litasco” began in 2017. Litasco was accused of violating the agreement with Palmali and Mubariz Mansimov tried to make compensation of two billion dollars.
Agreement between Palmali and Litasco on the transport of petroleum products was signed in 2005 for a period of 10 years. The agreement was supposed to be extended for another 5 years, but in 2015 relations between companies completely deteriorated.
