Musk Announced Rescue Mission For NASA Astronauts, Stuck In Space

American billionaire and senior adviser to President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, said that for about four weeks a rescue flight will be held for the return of NASA astronauts, stuck in space.

In an interview with Fox News, which he gave together with US President Donald Trump, Musk commented on the situation with astronauts in space.

Musk claims that “NASA astronauts were left in space for political reasons under the administration of Joe Biden,” and added that the preparation of a rescue operation was accelerated.

“We do not want to lose vigilance, but we successfully returned the astronauts from the space station many times. I think that we will spend a rescue mission within four weeks. But we must act very carefully,” Musk said.

Last month, after the Boeing NASA spacecraft was detained, the possibility of returning the astronauts was detained, Trump turned to the mask and his company SpaceX with a request for assistance in organizing the return of astronauts to Earth.

NASA astronauts stuck in space

The astronauts of Williams and Wilmore were sent to the International Space Station (ISS) on June 5, 2024 for a weekly test flight on the new Starliner Starliner.

However, due to the technical malfunction of Starliner, the deadline for their return was postponed, and NASA instructed the unmanned return of the ship.

After the launch of the reserve ship of SpaceX was postponed, the return of two astronauts to Earth may take place only in late March or early April.

It is predicted that their stay at the space station will last about 10 months.
