On the first night of the Holy month, Ramazan Muslims of different countries of the world made the first Taravikh -Namaz (Arab. -Top, rest, respite).
Muslims living in Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia, filled mosques in their countries in order to commit prayer. Some believers performed Taravikh-Ramaz on the streets, despite the cold weather.
Muslims of Skopier, the capital of Northern Macedonia, gathered in the historical mosque of Mustafa Pasha. Due to the large flow of believers, some had to make prayer in the courtyard of the mosque.
In the capital of Albania, Tiranna, believers filled the largest mosque “Namazgi” in the Balkans, the construction of which was launched by Turkey, and the opening took place with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on October 10, 2024.
In the capital of Kosovo, Protina, Muslims gathered in the mosque “Fatikh Sultan Mehmet.” In the city, the believers filled the Sinan-Pasha mosque, as well as other mosques of the city.
In the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dozens of mosques filled the city of Sarahs, mainly the mosque “Gazi Husrev Bey”.
In the capital of Serbia, Belgrade Taravikh -Namaz, they performed in the only mosque of the city – “Bayracles”. Also, the first Taravikh-Namaz Ramazan was made in the mosques of the Sanjak district, where Bosnian Muslims live compactly. Muslims of Montenegro and Croatia also performed Taravikh-Namaz.
Russia
In Moscow, thousands of believers performed Taravikh-Namaz in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque and other mosques of the Russian capital.
Before prayer in the Cathedral Mosque of Moscow, Mufti Ildar Alyautdinov turned to believers in a speech in which he emphasized the importance of Ramazan.
Many believers of all ages lined up in rows in the mosque and performed Taravikh-Namaz. In addition, Muslims filled the memorial and historical mosques of the capital.
Great Britain
Azisiy Mosque in Stouc-Neington in the British capital was filled with believers from among the Turks who live compactly in this area.
Muslims gathered in the mosques in the north of London, ascended prayers that Ramazan brought peace and tranquility to the inhabitants of Gaza and believers in many other parts of the world.
The British royal family and Prime Minister Cyrus Starmer congratulated the Muslims of the country and the whole world on the onset of Ramazan.
“We wish all Muslims of Great Britain, the Commonwealth of Nations and the world of peaceful Ramadan,” the royal family said in the social network X.
Georgia
The Muslims of Tbilisi met Ramazan in the Tbilisi Juma Mesec. “Taravikh-Namaz” also made Muslims of different nationalities, including guests from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
The prayer was made after calling for the prayer of the Imam of the Tbilisi Juma-Moseti.
