Two Iranian border guards died on Saturday during the patrol of the district in the border county of the Salmas of the West Azerbaijan, MEHR reports.
The Public Relations Department of the Border Guard command of the province of West Azerbaijan said in a statement on Saturday that two soldiers of the Border Regiment of the Salmas district of the West Azerbaijan in the north-west of Iran were killed during patrolling and security of borders.
The Salmas district has common boundaries with Iraqi Kurdistan in the West and Turkey in the north-west.
