In an effort to communicate accessible to everyone, “NAR” expresses the support of the Day of the International Language Language (September 23) adopted by the UN. Thus, within the framework of its CSR strategy, realizing the importance of integrating people with hearing and speech violations into society, the mobile operator implements projects of high social significance in this direction.
The first electronic version of the dictionary “Native Language of Gestures”, the winner of the competition “Social Projects” of the Public Association “Regional Development” was created on the website JestDili.az with the support of “NAR”. This electronic dictionary has been actively used for a year as the main dictionary of gestures for the hard of hearing in Azerbaijan. The site contains explanatory texts for about 3,000 words and phrases, as well as more than 2000 images and videos of gestures, which is of great importance for people with hearing and speech and their relatives, as well as those who work with this group of people. Most importantly, the electronic dictionary in Azerbaijani and Russian languages is available to everyone and can be used, including in the mobile version. In addition, since 2016, a mobile operator has been implementing in the regions and the capital the project “School of Education” to support the employment and social integration of people with hearing impairments. Thanks to the “School of Education”, which is one of the constant projects of the company, people with hearing impairments and speech undergoes practice in various professions, followed by the opportunity to find a job. In total, more than 100 people have been trained today.
Social projects “NAR” on the integration of people with hearing and speech violations in society are also an expression of its commitment to the goals of sustainable development, as a participant in the UN global agreement.
