April 23, on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day, the project “Hour of reading” starts for schoolchildren organized by Nar together with the Baku Book Center with the support of the Ministry of Education.
The main objective of the project is to enlighten students during the pandemic period and promote a productive time, developing a habit of reading. As part of the project, famous figures of the literature and art of Azerbaijan will read excerpts from various literary works through the ZOOM platform.
People’s writer Chingiz Abdullayev, the first guest “hours of reading”, will tell about the importance of reading, the role of the book in the formation of the worldview of young people, and will also share with the listeners with their favorite books. In the “reading hour”, which will last a month starting from April 24, along with Chingiz Abdullayev, every Saturday will be heard such readers like Zulfia Hanbabaeva, Nargiz Jalilov and Jeyhun Ali.
