Naryshkin: There Is No Loss Of Positions Of Russian Federation In Middle East

Russia is an “influential player” in the Middle East, so there is no loss of its position in this region. This was stated by TASS Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, answering the question of the relevant Western publications.

“No, absolutely not. Russia is a very influential player in the Middle East, and the countries of the Arab world, Turkey understand this. Therefore, there is no loss of Russia’s positions in the Middle East,” said Naryshkin.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is not leaving the Middle East.

“We are not leaving the Middle East,” Lavrov said at a press conference following the results of Russian diplomacy in 2024.
