On August 29, NASA wants to launch a new generation of a “space launch system” system in a pair with Orion spacecraft, which is designed to transport the crew. This will be a stage before the new sending of astronauts to the moon, writes Reuters.
“We are ready to launch,” said the deputy head of NASA Bob Boat at a briefing of the agency.
The start of the Artemis I mission (a pair of SLS missiles and Orion – Ed.) Is planned from Florida, from the Kennedy space center at Cape Kanveral. The spacecraft will spend six weeks in the moon orbit and return to Earth. This will be a stress test for the rocket. If everything goes well, then after it they will be able to use it to send astronauts to the Earth’s satellite in 2025.
