The US National Aeronautics and Space Studies (NASA) has sent the Spherex telescope into space, with which it is planned to create a three -dimensional map of the whole sky, having studied millions of galaxies with a low -earth orbit.
As reported on the official website of NASA, the new Spherex space telescope and PUNCH satellites were launched into space from the Vandenberg space forces in California (USA) at local time using the Falcon 9 missile, Spacex.
as part of the Spherex mission, the purpose of which is to analyze 450 million galaxies in a low near-Earth orbit for 2 years, it is planned to update the 3D-card of the sky every 6 months.
Spherex in the Galaxy Milky Way, where the solar system is located will also look for frozen water and molecules necessary for life.
The external atmosphere of the Sun is also planned to analyze with the help of four Punch satellites sent to space as part of one launch.
Punch will conduct three -dimensional observations of the solar system, will study how solar winds and weather phenomena in space arise.
