Russia continues to plan a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the Russian troops near Ukraine are ready for an attack, said the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg at a briefing based on the results of an extraordinary emergency meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, Ukrainian media report.
“Everything indicates that Russia continues to plan a full-scale attack on Ukraine. We see continued military extension,” said Stoltenberg, adding that NATO sees that the number of troops increases and they are ready for an attack.
“This is the forces in combat readiness, tens of thousands of combat units, but also all types of collateral: rockets, military equipment, combat tanks, drones, radio electronic struggle systems, anti-air defense, Iskander missiles and a wide range of various military capabilities,” – Stressed Stoltenberg.
NATO Secretary General added that the forces of the Russian Federation could attack without warning, and now more than 150 thousand military are concentrated near the Ukrainian borders. Stoltenberg noted that all this makes the situation very dangerous.
