On 16-18 September 2021, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea Geoană will travel to Italy.
On 16 September 2021 he will visit the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) Force in Sigonella, together with a group of NATO ambassadors.
On 17 September 2021 the Deputy Secretary General, together with the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, will attend a ceremony at the Allied Joint Force Command Naples Base, marking the 70th anniversary of NATO in Italy. The ceremony will be hosted by Admiral Robert Burke, Commander, Allied Joint Force Command Naples and Commander U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa.
