NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is sure that the Alliance will settle disagreements with Turkey on Sweden and Finland, since the Bloc has extensive experience in achieving such agreements through negotiations, RIA Novosti reports.
“NATO includes 30 allies with different history and geography, political parties and governments. There are many differences. We have a big story of resolving disagreements, I am sure that we can also settle this issue at the negotiation table,” – He said at a joint press conference in Denmark with the Prime Minister of this country Mette Fredericksen.
Earlier, Finland and Sweden submitted official applications for joining NATO, but Turkey blocks the beginning of the process of joining these countries.
