NATO Military Committee will hold a meeting in Brussels on January 18-19, during which the heads of the General Staff of the Alliance countries will discuss, in particular, “early observations” in the war in Ukraine and the continuation of assistance to Kyiv, the statement of the North Atlantic Alliance said.
The meeting will be attended by the heads of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of 30 NATO countries, as well as colleagues from Sweden and Finland.
“The main attention will be focused on the early observations of the continuing war in Ukraine, as well as to accelerate the implementation of the fundamental concept of NATO fighting and the development program of the Armed Forces, the statement said.” The Commander -in -Chief will discuss the military potential and the ability of NATO to protect the North Atlantic Union from all calls now and in the future. At the final meeting, the military committee will discuss the continuing assistance of Ukraine by NATO, ”the statement indicates.
The head of the military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, will be preserved at the meeting. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will join the Military Committee at the first meeting to present the latest political goals and discuss the safety problems facing the North Atlantic Alliance.
