The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty of Jens Stoltenberg calls on the Russian Federation to reduce the voltage at the border of Ukraine, where Russia focused a huge amount of forces. As UNIAN reports, Tinteberg said about this in Brussels at a joint press conference with President Poland, Andrzej Dudoy.
“We see a numerous and unusual concentration of forces in combination with aggressive rhetoric and disinformation from Moscow. Therefore, we urge Russia to be open, reduce the tension and exercise de ease,” said Stoltenberg.
He said that NATO retains vigilance and continues to provide political and practical support to Ukraine.
Stoltenberg stressed that support for Ukraine does not pose a threat to the Russian Federation.
“It helps Ukraine to defend itself from aggression,” the Secretary General stressed.
Also Stoltenberg said that next week a meeting of NATO foreign ministers will be held in Riga, who will assess the security situation and will meet with the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Georgia.
