NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called the demolition of the Dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station outrageous act, once again demonstrating the “cruelty of the Russian war in Ukraine.”
“The destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station today is at risk of thousands of civilians and causes serious damage to the environment. This is an outrageous act that once again demonstrates the cruelty of the Russian Federation in Ukraine,” he wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, the CAO “Ukrhydroenergo” said that the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was completely destroyed and was not subject to restoration after undermining the machine room from the inside.
Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson region of Ukraine was destroyed on the morning of June 6 as a result of bombing. The area is at risk of flooding.
The parties impose responsibility for each other for the breakthrough of the dam.
