NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that during his visit to the capital of Saudi Arabia, Er-Riyad, met with the General Secretary of the Council of Cooperation of the Persian Gulf countries (SSPZ) Kasim Muhammad al-Budevi.
In a statement published on his page on the X network, the Secretary General noted that for the first time the NATO Secretary General visited Saudi Arabia. He noted that he met with the Secretary General of the SSPZ al-Budevi.
Having emphasized that the conversation with Al-Budevi was a great honor for him, the head of NATO wrote: “Dialogue with partners is extremely important for NATO, and we value our relations with the SSPZ.”
On Monday, NATO announced that Stoltenberg would visit Er-Riyad on December 12-13, meet with the Minister of Defense Halid Bin Salman and other high-ranking officials, and also take part in the discussion at the National University of Defense.
