NATO Secretary General Jens Stoleberg noted that the alliance sees signs that Russia slows down the pace of tightening for the border with Ukraine, Interfax reports.
According to him, Moscow should explain the goals of this concentration of forces and go for de essay.
“It is impossible for the Alliance not to respond to the largest concentration of forces since the Second World War,” he said.
He also stressed that there is a considerable risk that exercises similar to those conducted in Belarus can be used to disguise the attack on Ukraine.
Stoltenberg noted that now Russia must decide what she wants: confrontation or political resolution of controversial issues.
