NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the successes of the Turkish defense industry are impressive. He praised the presence of hundreds of organizations and thousands of companies operating in the field of innovation.
Rutte on the eve of the meeting of ministers of the defense, on which the new US Minister of Defense Pete Pit Hegset will be present for the first time, made statements for the media.
“The foundation of the Turkish defense industry is really impressive,” Rutte said, answering the question of an ANADOL agency correspondent about what messages he will transmit to the ministers of the Sanzer countries about the role that Turkey can play in the strengthening of the alliance defense industry and especially especially Europe, as well as in providing peace in Ukraine.
noting that hundreds of organizations are working on innovation, and thousands of companies are part of the Office of the defense industry, Rutte recalled that he met the head of the department, Haluk Gergyun, both during his visit to Ankara and Brussels.

“This is really important that Turkey is in close cooperation with allies in Europe. Indeed, Turkish industry supplies the most important details, including final products. We can only ask you to do more”.
Rutte noted that he expects an increase and acceleration of production from all allies, including France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Turkey.
