Ships from Latvia, the Netherlands and Estonia will take part in joint maneuvers with Finland’s defense forces, the Voice of America reports.
Latvian Lvns Virsaitis Minnaya Falls, Estonian – ENS SAKALA and Dutch – HNLMS SCHIEDAM – will train with two ships of the same class from the Finnish coast fleet.
Two -day exercises that will begin on April 28 will prepare Finnish ships to participate in the activities of NATO response forces in 2022 and will be devoted to “anti -mines and work in the multinational structure”.
Earlier, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on April 13 that her country in the next few weeks would decide whether to apply for joining NATO.
