The situation in Afghanistan requires the creation of new security mechanisms in the Central Asian region, this was stated by the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, reports TASS.
“The situation in Afghanistan has become a catalyst for the process of deep changes in the space of Central Eurasia, forming a complex of current and long-term risks and threats. In this regard, the strengthening of the current and creation of new regional security mechanisms is required – Nazarbayev emphasized.
Also, the first president of Kazakhstan drew attention to the need to ensure complete readiness to counter the manifestations of extremism and terrorism.
