The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands caused Russian ambassador Alexander Shulgin in connection with a reaction to a court decision on the crash of the Boeing passenger aircraft in the Donbass, which occurred on July 17, 2014.
Earlier, the Hague court sentenced two Russian citizens and one Ukrainian to the life imprisonment of two citizens who fought in 2014 on the side of the DPR. The court considered them guilty of launching a rocket that shot down a passenger plane, and the Netherlands authorities demanded their issuance from Russia.
Russia expressed its indignation at the trial due to the fact that the version of the Russian Ministry of Defense was not considered inappropriate. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the results of the process politically motivated and refused to issue Russians, one of whom is Igor Strelkov (Girkin).
