The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population today provided another 50 apartments to the families of Shekhid and disabled wars.
Minister Sakhil Babaev at the event to provide accommodation documents in the center of Dost No. 4 stressed that the basis of successful socio-economic policy of President Ilham Aliyev is the principle of ensuring the welfare of citizens.
Stressing that the successful policy of President Ilham Aliyev provides consistent successes and in the social sphere, and significant progress in the direction of social development, Minister Babayev brought to the attention of the social achievements of Azerbaijan over the past 18 years.
He noted that serious increases occur in social payments. In particular, within the framework of the revolutionary social packages submitted by the state for the last 3 years, these payments increased by an average of 2.5 times, and social benefits increased by 60% over the past 3 years, or by 2.4 billion manat. He also noted that numerous rehabilitation and social services institutions have been created in our country.
Stressing that the family of Shekhid and the disabled of the war are covered by the special concern of the head of state, the minister brought to the attention that on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, the program of housing for the families of shekhid and persons with disabilities of war this year expanded 5 times.
In 2021-2025, it is planned to transfer another 11 thousand, including in 2021 – 3 thousand apartments and private houses to the families of Shekhid and disabled people. This year is 2800, and in just 12 thousand families of the shekhid and disabled wars are provided with housing and individual house.
Babaev noted that after the Patriotic War, 40 thousand people, including family of shekhid and war participants affected by Armenian terror, were covered by social support, they had 46 thousand services. He noted that the decisions of the head of state since the beginning of 2021, the monthly presidential scholarship for families of shekhid and disabled people were increased by an average of 50 percent, and in some directions – almost 100 percent. The scholarship for national heroes was increased from 1500 to 1800 manat. For persons awarded the title “Hero of the Patriotic War”, the Presidential Monthly Scholarship (2000 Manat) was established.
