New Government Led By Navaf Salam Has Been Formed In Lebanon

In Lebanon, after consultations on January 13, a new office was formed under the chairmanship of Navaf Salam.

In a statement by the Presidential Administration, it is noted that President Joseph Aun accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Mikati. It is also noted that Aun approved a decree on the creation of a new cabinet of ministers, consisting of 24 members, headed by Navafom Salam.

The Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Livan Mahmud Meckia confirmed the appointment of ministers to the new government, which now should receive a vote of parliament’s confidence for official entry off.

On January 9, Joseph Aun was elected the 14th President of Lebanon, and Navaf Salam, who previously held the post of head of the International Court, was appointed to the post of Prime Minister on January 13 for the formation of a new government
