On Tuesday, December 7, the Social Democratic Party (SDPG), the Free Democratic Party (CVDP) and the Green Party signed an agreement on the formation of the coalition government of Germany. This is reported by German media.
The future chancellor of the country Olaf Scholz expressed the hope that the coalition would work as one team for the benefit of the country over the next years.
“When we start working, we will face the task of fighting the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic,” Scholz said at the signing ceremony.
Note that the Social Democratic Party of Scholz with a small advantage won in the September 26 elections over the Christian-Democratic Party, headed by Angela Merkel.
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not participate in the elections and repeatedly declared that he would leave politics as soon as the new government would come to power.
