The new head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Kasytutis Budris, announced his intention to make his first foreign visit to Ukraine.
The purpose of such a visit is to send a message about the continuity of Lithuania obligations, cites the words of the diplomat LRT.
“The first visit will be to the country where the architecture of the whole of Europe will be determined and, perhaps, peace is Ukraine. The goal is to send a mess about the continuity of Lithuanian support, the continuity of Lithuania’s obligations,” Budris said.
According to the head of Lithuanian diplomacy, Vilnius has already concluded a bilateral agreement, according to which at least 0.25 percent of our GDP for defense and security will be allocated over the next 10 years.
“All this is valid, and we will strive to surpass these indicators. In addition, we are committed to the idea of unshakable support for Ukraine’s membership in NATO and supporting stable guarantees of Ukraine’s security so that the world lasts as long as possible. So, my goal is to go there “,” the minister emphasized.
