During the events of the military prosecutor’s office, SGB, the State Commission for Captured, hostages and missing citizens, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other departments in the villages of Dasheti Shushinsky district, Edily Khojavender district, Syrkhawvent of the Agdam district, Farrukh of the Khojalinsky district and others Mass burials were discovered in settlements, the military prosecutor’s office said.
The remains of more than 450 people were extracted from the burials, presumably people who were missing during the first Karabakh war. About 300 forensic and more than 280 molecular genetic examinations associated with the remains are carried out. Witnesses in these cases were also interrogated and other necessary investigative and operational measures were carried out.
The military prosecutor of Azerbaijan of Justice Khanlar Veliev visited the indicated territories, having read the investigation in this criminal case on the spot, gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
