New Moldova Foreign Minister took office

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Mikhai Popshay received on Monday, January 29, the oath in the presence of President Maya Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Republic, the presidential press service reports.

During the event, Sandu stated that Mikhail Popshoy has solid academic training. The diplomat was distinguished by active activities on the platform of parliamentary diplomacy and made a significant contribution to strengthening the support and trust of foreign partners, the head of state said.

Sandu emphasized that the main goal of the Moldovan authorities in the field of foreign policy is the entry of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.

“Our goals in the field of foreign policy remain the same: to finally fix the Republic of Moldova in the free world, take decisive steps in the direction of European integration and, of course, represent the interests of the Republic of Moldova, the interests of our citizens, are we talking about citizens who are in country, or about citizens from the diaspora, ”said the president.
