Prime Minister Justin Trudo announced new sanctions against 160 members of the Federation Council of the Federation for promoting the invasion of Ukraine. He stated this in Brussels after meeting with the leaders of NATO and G7, writes politico.
Trudo said that thanks to the new Measures of Canada introduced sanctions against 964 people related to Putin.
“Putin performed and continues to commit war crimes and create a destructive humanitarian crisis,” said Trudo.
Prime Minister announced the ban on Canada to export some goods and technologies to Russia. These actions are aimed at weakening the possibilities of Russian armed forces in areas such as electronics, computer science, telecommunications, navigation and transport.
New sanctions are the last wave of Canada measures, directed against oligarchs, Russian military companies, banks and other persons who are accused of Putin’s awareness.
In recent weeks, the Government of Trudo has collapsed sanctions on Putin himself, members of his closest environment, deputies of the State Duma and Workers of Belarus.
