“Dear Iranian people, the elections have ended. This is the beginning of our unity. We will not be able to overcome the upcoming difficult path without unity and trust. I hold out your hand and swear with my honor that I will not leave you alone along this way,” the politician wrote in his first publication after the victory in the second round of the presidential election.
According to the official results announced by the results of the second round of the presidential election in Iran, the deputy reformer from Tabriz, the former Minister of Health Masud Kiteshkin became the ninth president of the country, gaining 53.7 percent of voters.
His rival, the former secretary of the National Security Council, Said Jalili, enlisted the support of only 44.4 percent of voters.
