Nigeria and China decided to strengthen cooperation in areas of energy, security and economics.
China Van Foreign Minister and, within the framework of his African tour, covering 4 countries, in the capital of Nigeria Abuge met with his colleague Yusuf Tuggar.
According to the Nigeria Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tuggar said that during negotiations, the parties decided to expand cooperation in areas such as energy, security and economics.
According to Tuggar, they emphasized the importance of joint efforts to solve regional security problems.
The Chinese Minister, in turn, stated that China would “positively consider” Nigeria’s request to expand the existing currency swap agreement.
Touching the issues of regional peace and security, Van said that China would continue to vote in favor of Africa in the UN Security Council.
He noted that China will support Nigeria’s efforts to mobilize the countries of the region.
“Cooperating with Africa, we will solve problems of lack of security and ensure long -term stability through development,” Van said, and, emphasizing that China will continue to support Africa in matters of development and safety.
