In Nigeria, 165 enterprises used for illegal processing of raw oil were liquidated over the past week. This was announced by the Executive Director of the N.PCL Nigeria Nigeria Nigeria Mel Kyari.
According to him, over the past week, both government and private security agencies reported approximately 400 cases of theft of oil and vandalism in the Niger delta.
Kyari said that NNPCL, together with the Nigeria army, conducted operations in the Niger delta, during which 165 illegal oil refining enterprises were liquidated, as well as 39 illegal strokes in oil pipelines.
Nigerian Senator Nvoko said that in 2023 the country’s losses amounted to more than $ 3 billion due to an increase in the theft of oil and attacks on pipelines in the country.
The detected Nigeria oil reserves amount to approximately 37 billion barrels, that is, 3.1 percent of the world stocks.
Nigeria, which is among the 15 largest countries in the world in raw oil production, is the 8th country with the largest oil reserves in the world and occupies 6th place in terms of oil exports.
