Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan examined the border crossing of Margarra on the border of Armenia and Turkey.
Prime Minister Pashinyan wrote on his page on social networks that, as part of a working trip to the Armavir region, he visited the border crossing of Margar on the Armenian side of the border.
In his post, Pashinyan said that the border crossing of Margarus was modernized as part of a project worth 1 billion drams (about 2 million 575 thousand dollars).
The border between Turkey and Armenia was closed in 1993 in connection with the occupation of Armenia of the territories of Azerbaijan.
During this period, the border was opened only twice – in February 2023 to pass humanitarian aid after an earthquake in Khramanmarash on February 6, 2023.
