North Korea released about 60 artillery shells from the west coast towards the Yellow Sea. This was reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap with reference to the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of South Korea.
North Korea released about 60 artillery shells on the waters of its western coast and conducted exercises for two days in a row, ”the message says.
On the eve of North Korea, it released about 200 artillery shells towards the South Korean North-West Island Region located in the Yellow Sea.
The shelling was carried out from about 09:00 to 11:00 local time towards Pannendo and Yonphyndo. Shells fell in the buffer zone north of the northern demarcation line, de facto marine border with North Korea, the South Korean side said.
