Norwegian human rights and public organizations said that they could no longer invite Russian citizens to their events, reported by The Barents Observer.
The publication notes that not only actual refusals come to Russians, the process of submitting documents for a visa is also difficult – it is almost impossible to sign up for it.
Norwegian Director for Migration (UDI) confirmed the publication to reporters that the rules for issuing visas for citizens of the Russian Federation at the national level have been tightened since May 2022.
“As a rule, visas are issued to parents, children and spouses (living in Norway), while it is more natural to reject applications for brothers and sisters, distant relatives and friends. It will also be more difficult, but not impossible to get visas for business trips and visits with a cultural goal. As a rule, applications for visas from tourists and visits of friends will be rejected, ”the authorities said.
Norway is the last country of the Schengen zone, into which you can leave Russia on the ground with the current Tursviz.
