Norway Prime Minister Jonas Stree said that the country will send to Ukraine about € 205 million for the purchase of gas, reports France Presse.
“Ukraine asked Norway to take on the role of a leader in ensuring access to energy. We respond and offer to use two billion kroons (about € 205 million) so that Ukrainians can buy gas this fall and this winter,” he said .
It is noted that money Ukraine will be directed through the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said in his Telegram channel that the Ministry of Energy of the country predicts a decrease in gas consumption by 40%.
