Norway wants to help Ukraine for five years

The Norwegian Parliament (Storting) on ​​February 16 by a majority vote approved a long -term support program for Ukraine for 75 billion Norwegian crowns (almost 7 billion euros). The decision was made in the presence of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who participated in digital format, the Storting press service reports.

The country’s Prime Minister Jonas Gar Stree said that the program is designed for five years, that is, for the next parliamentary period, and involves annual payments of 15 billion Norwegian crowns (1.37 billion euros).

According to him, in the course of drawing up a plan, both in the form of military and civil assistance to Ukraine, the serious humanitarian consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war were taken into account.
