The Norwegian energy company Equinor decided to stop selling Russian oil after the announcement of the release from projects in Russia, reported on the organization’s website.
“After the announcement that Equinor began the process of exiting its projects in Russia, it was decided that the company would also stop selling Russian oil. This means that Equinor will not enter new transactions or engage in transportation oil and petroleum products from Russia, “- notes in the message.
The company added that there are certain obligations under contracts that were concluded before the “special operation” in Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about contracts that were signed in January 2022, according to which Equinor in March will receive four parties of oil.
“The reception of these goods will be carried out in full compliance with the current sanctions. Also, the company continues to work on the responsible exit from Russia, compliance with all applicable laws, including sanctions,” the company says.
