The number of dead due to abnormal heat in Mexico over the past few weeks has increased to 112 people, local media reports.
Doctors note that mortality against the backdrop of a record high temperature is growing rapidly, in particular in the north-west and southeast of the country. The largest number of victims falls on the states of Nuevo -Leone – 64, Tamaulipas – 19, Veracruus – 15 and Tabasco – 14.
The country’s Ministry of Health reported that the age range of the dead ranges from 45 to 64 years, out of 112 people – 104 died of a thermal blow.
Earlier on June 20, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) Mexico announced that abnormal heat will last another 10-15 days, and advised residents with chronic diseases without special need not to go out.
