Number of deaths of landslides in Columbia increased to 39

The number of deaths from the landslides that occurred in Colombia on January 13 increased to 39. This was reported by the National Department of Colombia for the management of the risks of natural disasters (UNGRD).

The department noted that the searches of the missing are conducted.

President of Colombia Gustavo Petro, who visited the disaster zone with representatives of local authorities, expressed condolences to the families of the dead. The head of state noted that the families of the victims of the natural disaster will provide all kinds of support.

The landslides took the road between the cities of Kibdo and Medelin, as a result of which dozens of people were under the rubble.
