with the appointment of Akhmet Yildiz’s ambassador to the post of deputy head of the Foreign Ministry, the number of deputy heads of the foreign policy department of Turkey increased from three to 4. The corresponding decision signed by the President of the country of Recep Tayyip Erdogan was published on Thursday in the official messenger of the government – Resmi Gazete.
Other decisions of the Turkish leader, their posts retained Yasin Ekrem Serim, Buraku Akchapar and Mehmet Kemal Bozey, who performed the post of deputy minister of foreign affairs at the Maevushoglu Mevluta.
Akhmet Yyldyz already held the post of deputy minister of foreign affairs in 2016.
Yyldyz previously worked in the Departments of the Turkish Foreign Ministry responsible for the Middle East, Iraq, intelligence, consular questions and in the protocol service. He acted in different countries as a consul general, adviser and ambassador.
