The number of people who died as a result of a flood in the Afghan province of Baglan exceeded 300 people. This is stated in the message of the UN World Food Program (UN RFP) posted on the social network x.
According to UN runners, the victims of floods caused by powerful showers that fell on the Baglan province in recent weeks, have become more than 300 people, 1,000 houses were destroyed.
The organization noted that among the inhabitants of the regional floods, help was distributed.
Meanwhile, the meteorological department of Afghanistan warned of powerful showers in the provinces of Badakhshan, Tahar, Baglan, Panjsher, Lagman, Kunar, Nuristan and Nangarhar.
Powerful floods are observed in various parts of the country, and mainly in the provinces of Baglan, Mountains, Badakhshan and Herat. There are fears that the number of victims will increase.
Earlier, the Afghan authorities reported that emergency care was carried out in the floods of the regions.
