The number of flood victims caused by spilling rains in Kenya increased to 188. This is stated in the message of the Kenya government.

The number of killed as a result of a flood caused by lasting about two weeks to strong rains increased to 188, the message said.

Among the dead 37 children, another 90 people are missing. In connection with the ongoing showers and floods, more than 165 thousand Kenyans were forced to leave their homes and look for shelters in safe areas.

President of Kenya William Ruto instructed the National Youth Service to provide plots for temporary camps for the victims of floods.

Along with Kenia, floods caused by heavy rains collapsed to such countries of East Africa as Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
